Project Shui Hau | Hong Kong Village House Interior Design

Designed by Jocelyn Liipfert Lam, Project Shui Hau was created for an American-Australian couple who bought their first family home in Shui Hau Village on South Lantau island, Hong Kong during the pandemic. The 2100-square foot village house underwent a partial renovation and full redecoration in Summer 2023 following a design process led by Liipfert Lam. The design concept was driven by the couple’s love for rugged global travel, transformed into an elevated yet laidback space, featuring an earthy and neutral material palette. Furniture, art and fixtures drew from post-modern craftsmanship and aesthetics found in Danish, Japanese, Spanish and Indian design.
